Your students will love practicing identifying sounds with this fun and engaging game! Place the cards around the room to have students go and find them, then record the sound or word on their matching recording sheet. This write-the-room activity is easy to differentiate for your class, just pick whatever skill your students need to work on!

How to Play: 

1. Place pictures on the wall around the classroom.

2. Give students a recording sheet and a clipboard.

3. Students walk around looking for pictures. When they find one, they look at the picture to identify the middle sound, short vowel word family, or segment the CVC word.

4. Then, students will look at the Valentines Day picture in the corner and find it on the recording sheet. Write down the letter(s) or CVC word next to the matching Valentine's picture.

5. Keep working until all pictures have been recorded.

Keep those activities organized… Each activity is color-coded so that you can easily prep and organize the activity for next year. You can use the answer key to have students check their own work.
