Track your students progress with these done-for-you phonemic awareness assessments for First Grade. These phonemic awareness assessments cover a wide variety of First Grade skills and are designed to be used every 10 weeks or once a quarter, throughout the school year.

These assessments are included in the First Grade Phonemic Awareness Daily Warm-Ups and align with the skills practiced throughout the year with those lessons. Each assessment includes 4 skills, with a pre-and post-assessment to track your students progress. The simple step-by-step directions help you to know exactly how to administer this assessment.

How to Assess:

•At the beginning of the 10 weeks, assess each student using the pre-assessment portion.

•Throughout the next 10 weeks, they will practice those skills every week with the Phonemic Awareness Daily Warm-Ups

•At the end of the 10 weeks, assess each student again using the post-assessment portion.

Each phonemic awareness assessment is a single page, and it takes no time at all! You can use this data as part of your phonics or ELA grade. This data is also helpful to create intervention groups, RTI/IEP plans, or to discuss during Parent/Teacher conferences.
