Welcome to my teaching blog, Sweet for Kindergarten!

I started blogging in July 2015, as a way to share my teaching ideas and
hopefully help you like other teacher bloggers have helped me. My first few
years teaching, I found so many wonderful teacher blogs via Pinterest, and they have given me so many ideas and confidence to become a better teacher!

A little about me:

I was born and raised in South Florida, where my family
lives. I miss them so much!

I've lived in California and recently moved to Northern Virginia with my husband, Alex, and puppy Jack. We recently had our first child, a girl named Caroline.

I have taught Kindergarten and 2nd Grade, but
Kindergarten is where my heart is! I have taught Kindergarten for 5 years and I hope it never changes!Me on my first day of Kindergarten, and now as a Kindergarten teacher!

I LOVE…

•Coffee-Can’t live without it! Starbucks is my absolute
favorite, ESPECIALLY when the Holiday drinks come out! {Pumpkin Spice Latte, please!}

•Baking- Some of my favorite recipes to make- Pumpkin Bread,
Salted Caramel Brownies, Oreo Cake Balls, Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Magic Cookie Bars, the list could go on forever! {I know the teachers I’ve worked with, love everything I brought in for them to “try”}

•Beach- I’ve never lived anywhere that the beach is more than
a half hour away until now! My dream is to own a house on the beach some day!

•Teaching!-Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a
teacher. I was the kid with the stuffed animals in the laundry room, teaching them and my little sister (who is also a teacher) everything
I knew on a little chalkboard!
