All last week we were waking up to negative temps and a solid layer of ice, not snow, which made it impossible and unsafe to play outside. After being stuck inside for over a week, this is what our days actually looked like.

These @ripvansnacks chocolate wafers are such a win... they taste like a real treat, but feel lighter than your typical sweet (and they have 5g of fiber!!). My kids love them in their lunches, and I love one as an end-of-night sweet treat.

Individually wrapped, kid-approved, and honestly just really good.

We made it on a snow day when everyone was home and hungry, and it was exactly what we needed — filling, cozy, and easy to throw together without overthinking lunch.

There’s something so satisfying about chopping everything up and mixing it all together. It turns a classic Italian sub into something a little more fun, and every bite ends up with the perfect mix of flavors.

Ingredients:
• Ciabatta loaf
• Lettuce
• Tomato
• Salami
• Cappicola
• Serrano ham
• Provolone
• Sweet peppers
• Italian dressing or your favorite sub dressing
• Optional: spicy meats if you like a little heat

I used to tell myself I’d do things later... later I’ll do skincare, later I’ll track my food, later I’ll listen to that podcast… and then later never came.

What finally helped? Habit stacking.
Not a new routine. Just doing two things at once.

My current favorite genius habit stacking hack:
under-eye masks while blow drying my hair.

I’m already standing there anyway, so why not?

Once I started looking for spots in my day where things already happen, everything got easier. A few I use all the time:
• Listening to a podcast or audiobook while walking
• Electrolytes while I work out
• Putting my workout clothes in the bathroom when I brush my teeth at night
• Doing my skincare as soon as I put my kids down
• Logging macros while drinking my morning coffee
Nothing fancy. Just habits that finally fit into real mom life.

I stopped trying to do everything all day.
That was the simple shift.

Instead, I separate my day into home tasks, work tasks, and self-care and I don’t mix them.

Today looked like this 👇
• Self: walked on the treadmill with a podcast while my kids watched a show
• Home: folded laundry while they played
• Work: focused work time during nap

Same hours.
Same responsibilities.
Just clearer boundaries.

You don’t need more time. You need space for each role you’re juggling.

And yes, you’re allowed to take care of yourself in the middle of the day, not just at the end of it 🤍
